According to the statement from USTR on 10th, July, the US Government planned to add tariffs on Chinese goods with value of US$200 billion, the corresponding tariff rate is around 10%.

The rare earth metals and the permanent magnets were in the tariffs list.

In response to this plan, the United States will hold a public hearing from 20th, August to 23rd August and may take effect after the public consultation on 30th August.
